There is an issue that has been ignored by every administration for years and while everyone knows it is an increasingly critical problem it is treated like the elephant in the room. The issue will come as no surprise to anyone in or out of government and it is illegal immigration.
This should be a non-partisan issue as We the People know the government's responsibility is to protect and serve us. Yet there is no will in government to secure our borders, period. In fact, this administration like the last several is intent on granting amnesty to those who without compunction break our laws by stepping foot in this country without permission. Those who come here on a visa and then choose not to leave.
To raise the issue causes one to be labeled as a racist or worse and that my friends is ridiculous. It seems to me that with the economic issues facing everyone, whether it is in our homes, within our local government, state government and federal government that the will of the people would for once override political expedience.
The economic issues when coupled with the security issues we face because of our porous borders makes this issue one of even more importance. I have to wonder what it will take before this administration or any other will awaken to the need to secure our borders first. The technology, the manpower, the finances all exist to make this happen, what is missing is a spine of the federal government. The will of We the People's demands on this issue continue to fall on deaf ears.
Study after study illustrate the cost to We the People for our borders to remain unsecured, yet the elephant remains squarely in the center of the room.

Today I am thankful:
1. That I got moved into my new place.
2. For my job which happens to be just 2 miles from my new place.
3. For the opportunity to restart many of the things I enjoy.
4. That I woke up this morning to a beautiful sunrise.
5. For : So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. ~Isaiah 41:10

I just found your blog, and I like what you're writing. Maybe, just maybe you'll inspire me to write political posts more often. I plan to keep reading yours! Keep up the good work!!
My husband is Hispanic and even HE agrees not only with the controversial Arizona law, but that illegal immigrants should not get any services but should be sent straight back from whence they came.
He also has an issue with people calling themselves XX-American. He says you are an American FIRST and if you don't like it to go back to that country you put in front of America. Now if he says this to certain people, he is called a traitor to his culture. If I say it, I'm a racist.
Does this make ANY sense at all? Ummm, nope. But to liberal PC mongers it does. You absolutely cannot speak your mind in this country anymore without being bashed for it. This is not my America.
As a <a href="http://www.conscientiousequity.com>republican</a> we need to take control of our government and get our personal freedoms back.
